Our Get Set Go crew decided it would be more fun to race in a fleet class, versus PHRF (handicapped scoring). The fleet with the most boats that races on Tuesday nights locally is the Merit 25 class. These are 40 year old boats and we figured we could find one for a few thousand, and that we did.

We found this yellow 1980 Merit 25 at Lake Tahoe. She was called D’Merit and we didn’t like that name so figured being from there that “Gold Rush” would be appropriate. Had a great time racing her this year.
